Well I was backing the goat into my garage last night after work. I was just about to shut the car off when I noticed the car felt like it was still in reverse. I tried to move the sifter back to neutral and it would not move. I pushed the clutch in and rolled the car into the driveway. ( I thought mabey it was just hung up) Again I tried to get her into Neutral, and it was still stuck.

I took apart the trim inside the car to get a better look at the shifter, and could see nothing wrong. I then slowly, with both hands pushed on the shifter, and it made this little "tick", then it went into Neutral.

I started the car up and drove it around the block. All the forward gears shifted just fine. I got back to the driveway and shifted into reverse. Guess what? Yep, stuck again. So I tried the same thing, with both hands started pushing on the shifter, then it happened. BANG- and now no more reverse.

I had the car towed back down to my dealership last night. I got in at 5am this morning to pull the tranny. The reverse gear and blocker ring are shot. I should have the new parts this afternoon, and have the car done tonight!

i think they are worth getting if you plan on modding the car heavily since i blew a tranny. maybe with these it would have taken more stress off the tranny.
